Problem

Property tax professional need support keeping up-to-date with changes to the administrative process of data collection and submission. Changes to the process are made annually by the legislature and the Property Tax Assistance Division seeks to provide clarity to appraisal district staff who need help with meeting their obligations related to data collection for the annual School District Property Value Study (SDPVS).


Solution

The Property Tax Assistance Division of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts has created a training video series on the EARS process available on the PTAD website. The first in the series is," What is the Electronic Appraisal Roll Submission (EARS)." 


Purpose 

To equip appraisal district staff with on-demand self-education course available on the PTAD website that clarifies their role in the administrative process and defines their responsibilities in the SDPVS process.
